Welcome to the VECTREX RESOURCE CENTER, a collection of materials, images and perspectives on the "VECTREX Arcade System", also called the "VECTREX Graphic Computer System", manufactured & distributed by GCE and MB from 1982 to about 1984. At the end of it's time, the VECTREX was just another victim in the terrible
Video Game Crash of 1984. In it's prime, it was about as close as you could
come to actual vector-graphic arcade gameplay in your home. The colored "screen overlays" packaged with each game cartridge were designed to add "gameplay" by adding color and static images to enhance the playing area (They also helped to reduce "flicker"... allegedly!). My intention is to make sure the impressive novelty of this machine is not lost in the hearts of gamers
from any era...
Are you curious what your old Vectrex unit is worth, after sitting around the garage for the last 20 years? Check out this link to eBay search, you can get a pretty good feel for what the prices are averaging these days. I try to update this site as often as possible, but other things in my life sometimes make that difficult. Just come back often and be sure to poke around. To help keep me GOING... feel free to shop using some of affiliate links below. Thanks!
